Goodreads asked S. DeGiorgio:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

S. DeGiorgio The best thing about being indie authors is not having a publisher trying to control what we write. We have to actively earn each sale, borrow, and new fan, which is helping us to find readers that truly like our combined voice.

We've both been employed as technical writers since 2004 and so although we're indies we are not amateurs. One reviewer wrote that OC is the best written indie they've ever read, which we loved hearing, but it also illustrates the preconception that indie works aren't as polished as those from traditional publishing houses. We have a small army that helps us with the final edits just like the big boys LOL.

OC is going to be on sale again for .99 from 6/13 - 6/20 and we're hoping that the GoodReads community will rally around this deserving debut work. We'd love to be able to afford to quit our day jobs and write full-time, but honestly that'll depend entirely on book sales.
