Good question. One of the main things of course his awesome, out of nowhere, twist endings, where your perspective is totally turned upside down, like in the classic "Eye of the Beholder." Also his focus on human drama, and the conflicts between characters, in his science fiction, rather than on science. And theme--his stories always make a statement on the paradoxes of life and the human condition. And you?

Your influences also are mine, from a certain era, Rod Serling was a genius, in my opinion, and Alfred Hitchcock can't be beat for psychological horror and thrillers. Mike, I found your book through reading by another author, really got hooked fast. Fast reading. I read Lust, Money & Murder all 5 books within 5 days. You mentioned the 6th book was to be released spring of this year(2015) Is that going to happen? I am anxious to see what is becoming of Elaine B. Nothing worse than be kept hanging. I love your work.
