Deana Dick
Deana Dick asked Jack Lewis:

How did you decide to write books about zombies? I know there is s sequel to Fear the Dead. What is in that captures the same depth of characters and keeps the reader interested ?

Jack Lewis Hi Deana

They say write what you know, but I don't subscribe to that because my books would be about going to the shop to buy bread.

I think you should write what you love, and I've always loved zombie fiction. It started when I was a kid and got my first Playstation. I was hooked on Resident Evil 1, and I had my face pressed against the TV until I'd beaten it on every difficulty and my parents were sick of hearing zombie groans and shotgun blasts.

The beauty about zombie and apocalyptic fiction is that it forces people into extreme situations. Put a group of men and women in a lift and nothing happens except one of them whistling too loudly. Put them in a room with zombies banging on the windows and suddenly emotions spike, they're shot with adrenaline and they all want to kill each other.

I'm not going to big up the sequel too much here save to say that my mum and wife called it a page turner. But maybe they're biased.
