I am a native Chicagoan and I've known Pascal Marco most of my life. I was on goodreads to write reviews on his books, and saw you are one of his favorite authors. I am curious about your book Havana Lost. What gave you the inspiration to write about Cuba? I've read Carlos Eire and spent 4 hours watching Che,the documentary, and even History will Absolve Me. My daughter married a Cuban so my grandkids are 1/2 Cuban.

Libby, Thanks so much for getting back to me. I remember the revolution, JFK, the missile crisis, bay of Pigs, etc . I was born in 53 so I was young. It was the dawn of the age of TV. The world could watch what was going on-- from their own living rooms. I Joked that my generation was denied Cuba as a vacation spot. I have so much more to say but I can't via Goodreads. Is there a way I can say more? FB Messenger maybe
