Goodreads asked Gary Kemble:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Gary Kemble I write fairly slowly (eg a little bit each day rather than huge chunks in one go) so this doesn't happen to me that often.

I plot out my books, which helps avoid writer's block. When I sit down to write, I have a pretty good idea of what I'm going to write.

On the rare occasions I get stuck, I skip forward to the next chapter and add a note about what I need to write to finish the chapter, and then go back later on.
