Jennifer Weiner
Before I published my first novel I’d spent almost ten years as a newspaper reporter. Some of those years I worked for a very small paper where the reporters were expected to turn in more than one story a day. You could do the police round-up, head out to cover a school board meeting, work on a big Sunday piece in between, and get yanked off your beat if there was breaking news. I got used to writing a lot, every day, and I got used to the physical cues – you wake up, pack your stuff, leave the house, plant yourself in a seat in front of the keyboard, and you write. That’s how it works for me…and even if I feel like I’ve got nothing to say and I end up tossing everything I’ve written, I can’t think of a day when I haven’t been able to get anything on the page.
The other part of the answer is reading. I’m always reading – usually a novel, and I’ll always have some poetry on the bedside table, too, so I’ve got plot and beautiful language running around in my head.

Hi Jennifer, I am a fan :) I just picked up "Who Do You Love" and I have a question regarding a name you used. On page 29 you mention Miss Bonitatibus, my music teacher. Well, my maiden name is Bonitatibus. I know it is NOT a common name. I wonder if you know or knew someone with this name? If so, it certainly is a small world. I know you are busy but hope you might be able to get back to me.

Hello Jennifer I live in a little town on Outer Cape Cod that you may be familiar with! I have been a big fan of yours for many years and have followed your positive body image campaign this summer. I have two daughters, one of whom is entering in to 3rd grade. I know you have a daughter so what do you teach her so she has good body image? Ps. I hope your new children's book made it in to our school library!
