Brandon asked Jeffrey Quyle:

Do you have any tips for future writers, myself I have few ideas but the issue is I have problems getting it on the page and flowing.?

Jeffrey Quyle Brandon, I'll give you the caveat that ever writer is different, because we all imagine and think and process ideas a little differently. Having said that, I find that when I have an idea, I like to put it on paper, just to preserve it and allow it to be the acorn that the story can grow from. It doesn't have to have grammar or punctuation or spelling at all in that first recording. And then I let it flow - where ever it seems to want to go. Few of my stories ever follow the plot intentions I start with, but having the original idea gives them a starting point.

If your 'few ideas' are concepts for different stories, write them down separately and then tackle them according to which seems most inspiring to you and most manageable for you.

If your ideas are all parts of one plot, put them all on paper (or probably type them on the screen), then start writing from the first one, aiming to take the story towards the second plot point. The story may not get there, but that is hopefully because it has organically come to life and is leading you in the direction that it is destined to go.

Good luck!
