I have just joined this site I can't believe my favourite writer is on here! I love your books in fact I come from Asia and your Dark Mirror was the first western book I ever read, it was many years ago when I was little but I could still remember many details in it, the book was part of my childhood what a beautiful book it was. I was wondering will you ever come to UK? If so, when? Thank you!

Hi Karen,
Sorry to be slow to reply! I'm very happy that you loved The Dark Mirror.
I've visited the UK several times, including last year, though these days I don't have a separate UK publisher for my books, so any 'author tour' would have to be organised and funded by me, quite a big undertaking when I live in Australia. I tend to come over only when there's a particular event I want to attend (for instance I was in Brighton for the World Fantasy Convention a couple of years ago and had a meet-up with some of my UK readers there.
I'm still hoping my agent can find a UK publisher for my more recent books, which would make it easier to arrange signings etc over there. If I am planning anything I will advertise it on my blog - the one attached to my new website:

It's possible to subscribe to the blog so you get all my posts - see details on the page.
all the best, Juliet

Hi Juliet, There isn't enough room here to say how much your books mean to me, but I wouldn't be who I am today without them. Thank you, for everything, and for Sevenwaters most of all. I stumbled onto the FAQ page on your website, and under the Errors section, I see you mention a character who dies then miraculously pops up again in a later book – who was this character, before he was renamed in the reprint?
