Scott, I loved this book. The ideas were original in a way I haven't seen in awhile and the characters were great. For some odd reason, whenever I was reading 'Erwin', I couldn't help but here him with Sam Elliott's voice. A little crazy, huh? So... you have to be thinking about a sequel, yes? Carolyn has some serious unfinished to deal with and I'm sure Erwin could handle being her American advisor, right?

Thanks Michael!
I agree, Sam Elliott is a good choice for Erwin. I was thinking Ed Harris, but either one would be good. My wife is pushing for Dwayne Johnson but she thinks Dwayne Johnson should be in everything. I'm starting to suspect that she's responding to more than just his acting ability.
I'm considering a sequel, but I'm not 100% sure if I could pull it off. The main issue is that I'd probably want to keep unfolding layers of those "no wait, this is what REALLY happened" kinds of reveals, and that would be really tough to write if you couldn't go back and tweak stuff. I'd like to, though. I miss those guys.

I'm tickled peach (ha, ha) that you live in Atlanta, too. Will you be doing any local book signings or other appearances? Also, I would really, really love to be a beta reader for your next book. Do you have a list, or does your publisher handle that; if the latter, how would I go about contacting the appropriate person?

I absolutely loved your book--it was so unique and creative. It's really refreshing to read something that different. I had a question about how you determined the disciplines that each of the children studied at the Library. Why was there no discipline for literature, or for history? What made you choose the areas of study that you did--was there anything in particular that influenced your choices?

Pardon me if this has already been asked, or if it really is obvious in the book, but I didn't catch it, even after reading it twice.... How does it become David's "assignment" to rescue Steve from prison? Does Carolyn convince him? How does she convince everyone that Steve is "essential" but also disposable? And is his heart a McGuffin?
