Goodreads asked Tom Harper:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Tom Harper I don't believe in writer's block. I believe in being stuck, and being tired - either of which can leave you feeling like you can't go on. The trick is knowing when you've got a problem, rather than just the usual ebbs and flows of the creative process.

If you're tired, take a nap. If you're stuck, it's because you're trying to force the story to do something unnatural. I ask myself why the scene isn't working, and what I could do differently. Often, deleting the last couple of paragraphs and taking it from there in another direction does the trick.
