I like "The Razor'Razor's Edge" very much, the book and your rendition as well. The comment "It doesn't matter ("It just doesn't matter.") has come up in several of your other movies. Do you have a philosophical bent on this phrase? To me it seems like an excellent response to all of trivial pursuits we clutter our lives with.
