I'll tell you this off the bat -- Keep at it. It's not an easy life and publication isn't easy, but persistence in all forms is paramount. :)
Now as to L.M. Montgomery... Need you ask, Kindred Spirit? Check out the dedication to Dear Mr. Knightley. It may make you smile. Although Dear Mr. Knightley follows the major plot points of Webster's Daddy Long Legs, I suspect there is more Anne Shirley than Jershua Abbott in my Sam. :)
