"Blood River" was not only a fascinating book, but a very well written one. I really enjoyed it and will look into buying "Chasing the Devil." Thank you for writing me. What are you working on? The new one is my most ambitious, one involving a journey through history as well as global geography. I will let you know more when I can.
In the meantime, I have another one out since Chasing the Devil, an account of the young man who triggered so much when he fired his pistol on a Sarajevo street corner on a sunny June morning in 1914. Not only did he spark the First World War but all the great events ever since – it is called The Trigger.

Tim - I'm a great admirer of "Blood River", and the lengths to which you went in order to obtain the story. Despite having a vast array of resources, the DRC seems to have remained horribly underdeveloped and locked in a cycle of misery. As such, what do you think is the best way forward for the DRC?

Tim: Just for you information. Chasing The Devil Kindle has not been available here in the US for at least 5 years I have been searching for it that long. Could it be that Amazon Kindle messed up by offering the Chasing The Devil by Sheriff Reichert and mistakenly took yours off as a duplicate? Think how many sales you have missed by this mistake. Thousands.
