How did you come up with Prosperity? What was your inspiration? And what were your first ideas/characters/things for it? Any news on the more-books-in-the-Prosperityverse front?

Hi Mel, I'm so so sorry I missed this. I stopped getting notifications and am rubbish :(
Prosperity came about because I randomly saw an open call for "queer frontier fiction" on RP's site. And I really love westerns so I wanted to write what would essentially be a queer western - except there's the whole genocide thing which is, y'know, non-ideal to put it mildly. So I started thinking about ways to get the Western feel without the, uh, genocide. And so I sort of ended up at steampunk western with lawless frontier towns in the sky. It makes sense. Maybe ;)
I would love to write some more Prosperityverse stories but I don't have plans to currently. Watch this space ;) Actually I do have a half-written short called Black Jack's Boy. And you can probably guess what that's about ;)

Hi! I would love to read "My last Husband" and "Glass". Are you planning to add them again to some of your future newsletters? or is there an entrance in your blog where we can read them? If they were some limited-time-only thing, too bad for me :/... Just wanted to make sure if there is any way to read them or if there is some kind of future republishing for your short stories ahead. Thanks!

I just wanted to say thank you for Glitterland? For two reasons: Hi, my name is Lauren and I'm from Brentwood, and as an Essex 'ghel', I've often pondered on what my accent would look like in written format, and ohmigod, you did it perfectly! The other, more serious reason is that, like Ash, I'm bi polar. Seeing someone like myself was just so important to me, and I will cherish this experience forever. Thank you! <3

I have to ask: Was Caspian's last home reveal at the end of "Belong" meant to be a sort of reverse Bluebeard's Castle? Like, throughout the series Arden goes into more and more of Caspian's "rooms" and each one successively (albeit fractionally) becomes more and more personal/home-y? I may be reading too much into it, but the parallel struck me shortly after finishing Belong and blew my over-excited mind
