I find inspiration from an overly active imagination. Inspiration comes to me from almost every life experience I have. Even something as simple as a hike in desolation wilderness can get my creative juices flowing.
My husband was pretty mortified that my last book was a "dating" book, as we'd been married for 3 years when it published, but he was my muse for so much of the story, and actually lent a lot of great ideas on character development.
