What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Nicolas Wilson Expect that it'll take a long time to develop your ideas about writing, concepts, plotting. Set achievable goals, and keep to them. For several years, mine was a new short story every week. It gave me the opportunity to work with a lot of characters I would have had a difficult time expanding into full novels, and to develop my voice and plotting skills. I don't recommend just jumping into a full novel. The more experience you have writing from diverse viewpoints, the easier it will be to incorporate that into your writing on longer projects, to craft more realistic and quirky characters.
