I absolutely love the quotes from other books at the beginning of each chapter. Not only did I enjoy your trilogy, but I found a few new books that I love from those quotes. How did you decide which quotes from which books to use? How long did putting those quotes in take you?

Oh that's wonderful, Stacey! I originally decided to use the quotes for exactly that reason: to make readers aware of the books I love. When I started it felt quite easy as I was just quoting from my favorite book. But when i realized Inkworld will be three books I cursed my idea many times as it became quite a challenge to find the quotes. My publishers did some additional cursing, as they needed to get the rights for all the quotes!
For a long time this made me stay away from quotes but now I am doing it again: for A GRIFFIN'S FEATHER I used quotes and loved loved loved to find them. The next step is now to find quotes for all my MirrorWorld Books as I always wanted to begin the chapters with fairy tale quotes! So many of them are forgotten and I can't wait to bring them back.
