Hi Jessica... Several of my friends have trouble with confidence (I sometimes do too) in general. So I thought I'd ask a few readerly/writerly people this very straight forward, very open question... What shakes your confidence? In the realm of writing, or otherwise. What tends to foster it? Thanks.

Jessica Bell Hi Jason. I think I'm in a perpetual state of anxiety and insecurity when it comes to my writing. No matter how much praise I garner, there is always going to be a voice in my head telling me that I'm not good enough. I think it's a slight case of Impostor Syndrome, and I also believe that every creative person, whether a writer, artist, musician, etc, is going to feel like this a lot of the time. So, I guess there isn't anything really that shakes my confidence except my own sense of myself. I really am my worst critic!
