Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kelly Lucille I knew when I finished Keeping Her that all the guys would get a story. Claiming Her came about because I pictured Lucas Gibbs at his office doing the hot boss thing, and then I thought about what he would do if he fell in love with someone who was vulnerable, like a full human, or almost human woman he would have a hard time protecting. He would try to keep her at a distance, and when he realized he was not going to be able to keep that up, he fired her before she could get hurt because of him. Then I thought about what would happen if she died anyway for completely unrelated reasons. You see how convoluted my thought process is? Well, just wait for it, because then I thought: what would he do with a second chance?
He would be a very determined male lion. Extremely possessive and protective, almost feral with the need to claim her. That's where Claiming Her starts.
