Djamila asked James Morcan:

Sorry, I will never understand how you can say there are two sides to the vaccine question. There is the science side based on careful studies and then there is the side that listens to playboy bunnies. I was really excited to read your books, but I just can't in good conscience support someone who tries to influence people away from vaccines. ?

James Morcan Hi Djamila,

I appreciate you reaching out.
You seem passionate about science and vaccines and that's cool by me.
However, I think in this instance your passion is slightly misplaced in that you have approached me stating that I am "someone who tries to influence people away from vaccines". That assumption is incorrect, which is why I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to set the record straight.

In truth, I have no fixed opinion and not being a medical professional I'm not sure why anyone would care about my opinion even if I had a firm one and was not sitting on the fence on this whole subject.

I'm actually someone who is confused on the entire matter of vaccines...I keep getting people like you writing to me on social media to say the science is 100% perfect and there should be no debate. But then conversely, I also get parents, uncles, aunts and grandparents writing to me to say they have lost their children to vaccines or else now have braindead children (and apparently the coroners' reports and doctors' reports listed vaccines as the cause). If you go on my Twitter page, as well as in my Goodreads group Underground Knowledge, you'll also see some of the parents who have posted/tweeted with stories of what happened to their kids immediately after being vaccinated. So now these parents have had to bury their kids or else have to care for their ill kids for their rest of their lives.

HOWEVER, I'm equally aware of what can happen to children who are not vaccinated and all the diseases vaccines can prevent or even eradicate off the face of the Earth...As you rightly point out, one cannot deny all the abundant science which proves such vaccine success stories against diseases like Polio and numerous others.

So again, not being a medical professional, I have no idea as to the ultimate truth. And I certainly am not pushing any secret agenda to steer people away from vaccines...For example, you'll find in some of my non-fiction books I've stated that personally I think people should (probably) get themselves and their children vaccinated - but that at the same time we need better research as there seems to be safety concerns surrounding many vaccines. So if you care to dig a little deeper you'll see I've actually played the Devil's Advocate against both sides (i.e. against pro-vaccines and against anti-vaccines). I've also asked the hard questions of Big Pharma as well as alternative health supporters. And playing the Devil's Advocate is never that popular a role especially if you are playing it against all sides!

Where I would most disagree with you is where you imply there are not two sides to the vaccine question. Obviously there are two sides as in case you haven't noticed there is a heated worldwide debate (with respected doctors on both sides) going on right now. So like it or not, there is a debate which contrary to what you state isn't just doctors/scientists versus idiots...it's actually doctors versus doctors, medical professionals versus medical professionals, nurses vs nurses, Big Pharma employees versus ex-Big Pharma employees etc, etc. Each side seems convincing to me at times, and then unconvincing at other times, which only adds to my confusion (and I'm sure the confusion of many others).

Again, I don't have the slightest idea who is right and who is wrong, or if maybe the truth lies somewhere in between the two extremes (e.g. are kids getting too many toxins from too many vaccines and do we need some vaccines like for polio, but not necessarily all the others?). I'd be guessing and lying and completely stepping out of school if I pretended for a moment to have ANY answers on this matter.

Also, I'm not worried if you ever read my books or not, rather I'm interested in humanity's wellbeing. If my asking questions and encouraging debate annoys some people, that's not really my problem ;)

Thanks,
James
