Is it easier for you to write from a girls perspective or a guy? Or are both equally challenging/easy?

If you had asked me this question a few years ago, I would have said a girl's, no hesitation. But over the last few years, I've put a lot of study into how a guy's brain works, and sometimes I actually prefer a guy's more focused POV. I'm sure that, since I am a girl, I write girls more accurately, but it really all depends on the story and the character themselves.

I absolutely loved Water Princess, Fire Prince! One thing that has stuck with me that I particularly appreciated about your book is the way you masterfully balanced Clara and Andrew's alternating points of view. Your characters, their development, and their contrasting voices are all so well done! Do you have any tips for how to write distinct points of view and voices for one or more main characters?
