How do you get inspired to write?

Paul Pilkington Lots of things can spark inspiration - something you read in the newspaper, or see on the TV, something that you might overhear or see in everyday life...or sometimes an idea that just seems to pop up from nowhere! In the past, I've been inspired to write through my enjoyment of other novels, films and TV programmes - thinking about why I enjoyed them - what made them really watchable or readable...what could I learn from them to help to develop my writing...
