How do you get inspired to write?

Roberto Pinchas Typically, the idea for a book or story comes when I see or hear something and have various thoughts about it. It can be absolutely anything and the direction I take the idea in often has little to nothing to do with the initial thought, sight, or sound that inspired it. Or at least not in any easily perceived or understood way.
