Goodreads asked Quincy J. Allen:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Quincy J. Allen FaceBook is always an option... NOT! Okay, so FB is really the devil's playground to a writer. When it comes to writer's block, I generally either just work through it by moving to another portion of the book or work on a different project. I operate a book design and author marketing collateral business on top of everything else, so I always have something to work on. Ultimately, "writer's block" is not a word that should be in any writer's vocabulary. Writing is a job. You're working for yourself, and you need to be a harsh task-master. If you were at a "real" job, could you tell your boss that you just can't get your job done because you're blocked? The answer is NO, that's a surefire way to get terminated. The same applies to writing. Do your job or fire yourself and flip burgers someplace.
