This might be too late since it's the day after Halloween. Anyway, loved Warm Bodies and can't wait to read the new installment! My question: let's say zombies are "mythical creatures" for lack of a better term. Are you drawn to the idea of writing a story about any other type of mythical creature, and if so, which one?

Isaac Marion Wow, I got so many questions about this. People REALLY want to know if I'm going to keep writing about monsters. Hopefully it's not a hopeful question, because no, I don't plan to write about any "creatures" for the foreseeable future. Even if I did think of an interesting story about leprechauns or yetis or whatever, I'd be very hesitant to put myself in that box again after discovering how limiting it is. I've spent the last 8 years fighting people's preconceptions about the zombie genre, trying to explain that despite my book's goofy subject matter, it's actually not a goof, and I'm very eager to do something that carries no expectations and requires no disclaimers. I can't wait to meet someone new and tell them what I do for a living and NOT see that little "zombies lol" smirk.
