How fun - my first Goodreads question/answer! My advice to aspiring writers would be not to get overwhelmed with the scope of your project. Take the writing one step at a time, one day at a time. If research applies to your novel do the same with that. If you take your writing a little at a time and don't let yourself get overwhelmed with the project upfront it will slowly but surely come together.
