How do you get inspired to write?

Christopher R. Taylor I have always made up stories, whether in my head while I went to sleep or wandering our family farm, or walking to and from school. The first story I ever wrote was in 1st grade, about a dinosaur. I guess its always been with me.

People tend to shy away from historical fiction because they think its like a documentary. I try to let the world know it has events yes but the fictional story line can be anything...thrilling, fantasy, mystery, murder etc. How do you promote historical/fiction? what do you like about it?
