Goodreads asked Tosin Coker:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Tosin Coker Personally I don't believe in writer's block, I believe that writing often takes on a life of its own. Stories write themselves. The problem (blockage) occurs when we try to force the story in a direction it doesn't want or need to go in. Also I find that some authors are rigid in their approach to writing, it reads so, thus it must be written so. I don't agree. I don't write chapters in order. I write them in eager. The chapters that are spilling out of me the most is what I write first. Then I go and fill in the gaps.
