How do you get inspired to write?

Bentz Deyo How I harness inspiration depends on whether I’m sitting down to write in the morning or late at night after my wife and baby have gone to bed. Mornings, I usually get started by flipping through a few random pages of an old, small notebook of mine scribbled in with quotes that inspire and book passages that evoke passionate emotions. Late at night, I strap on the headphones and pop on a song that pushes me toward the mood of the scene I’m about to write. Most of my ideas, though, come to play inside my head during my evening runs.
