What to do with a Harvard grad who gave my Proud Patrick 3 stars and asked 'what's the motive'? Then there was the young woman from the Cotswolds who complained Proud Patrick did not have a lesson or a moral. I replied to her from John Ciardi's poem 'a poem should not mean but be'.
