Thanks for asking! I chose Beautiful Affliction as title because when I thought back on all those years of affliction, what really struck me was the beauty, the miracle and the clarity of those years. Only the important things remained, and the unimportant seemed to melt away. So all the pain, disappointment, and sadness found their way into a beautiful pattern that eventually became my story.
