Werner...Thank you for being such a wonderful warm nice guy -- You are smart-educated and 'very kind'! I have too many books on my plate I must read for NG right now --but 'later' -which book of yours would you suggest I read as a first pick?

Elyse, thanks for your interest, and for the kind words! If you ever do read any of my work, I hope you enjoy it. It's hard to recommend a title; it might be more helpful to just provide some description of what I've written.
All of the work that's listed on my author page is supernatural fiction (which might not be your cup of tea.) My only novel is Lifeblood, which is vampire fiction (though it actually has appealed to a lot of readers who usually don't get into the vampire motif). The main male character is a Christian, and Christian symbolism is at the core of the storyline. I don't handle this in a way that I think of as "preachy" (and some secular and even atheist readers have greatly enjoyed the book), but if that kind of content bothers you, it's something to be aware of.
Only two of the short stories listed are currently in print, "The Gift" and Wolf Hunt" (on Smashwords; they each sell for 99 cents). These are, respectively, vampire and werewolf fiction. Neither of them have explicitly Christian content, but they both are oriented around the conflict of good and evil (which is characteristic of all of my writing).
In all three of these works (and in my writing generally) I avoid bad language, and there's no sexual or violent content that wouldn't be rated PG, if the work in question were a movie. I'd say read over the reviews, what there are (Lifeblood actually has a number of them), and see if you think one seems more interesting or promising than the others. (If none of them are exactly up your alley, I won't be offended! :-) )

Here's my question, Baby Cake. I'm finally "biting the bullet" to read the Illiad by Homer but there are SO many translations to choose from and since WHO is doing the translating can make a significant difference... Whom do you recommend I go for this first time around? (And PLEASE don't recommend I learn Ancient Greek and read it in the original language. 🥺)
