Goodreads asked David Hall:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

David Hall I find a little caustic soda poured directly into the drain clears any grease and allows a better flow. What? Writer's block. Oh...

Writer's block is a sign for me to stop. Stop trying too hard. To think of something else, time away from the keyboard. In a nutshell, to re-energise. When the time is right, I find ideas come to me naturally. Although my last episode of writer's block lasted two years so I may not be the right person to ask.
