Goodreads asked Peg Willis:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Peg Willis Here are two things I do to deal with writer's block.
1. Go for a walk - alone - outdoors - WITHOUT my phone and WITHOUT listening to music. There's just something about my body being in motion that turns on my creativity.
2. I'll start writing something like this:
"So ... I'm supposed to be writing a scene about how Jacob first meets Anna. Maybe she could have just tripped and fallen in the pig slop and be horribly embarrassed. No - Thatt's been done over and over. Or he could be angry about something and inadvertently offend her. That might work. She glanced up sharply, fire in her eyes ...
And then I just keep writing what happens. It will probably be very lousy writing, but that's okay. I'll edit later. You can't edit a blank page.
