I undertook a short creative writing course last year, and the final challenge was to write a short story for submission and critique. A few months afterwards, I was re-reading it, and I began to think about how the story could easily be expanded to novel length.
As I started to write, however, the characters evolved into two completely different people, and pretty much wrote the story for me!
