Just a comment to let you know that I was starting to curse you a bit as I kept reading The Wild Girl, thinking 'How long can she keep these two apart?!' Then I read your afterword about the timeline for the real Dortchen & Wilhelm's relationship and had a much greater appreciation for how you worked that into your story. Thanks for all that research, and more importantly, for an enjoyable book!

Hi JoAnne
I know! Trying to sustain sexual tension for decades was so hard! People keep asking me if I changed anything of the facts of their life, and I say that if I could've got them together sooner, I would have!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it despite the delayed sexual gratification :)
Hoping you read some more of my books one day.
best wishes
Kate

Hi Kate, I really enjoy reading all your books. I have just finished The Beast's Garden & wanted you to know that you most certainly did do the story justice. You did bring their suffering & their heroism to life which brought me to tears many times. You gave me an insight into their lives during this horrific time in history & I will remember this book for many years to come. Are you writing anymore fantasy novels?

Hi Kate!! I've SOOO loved both Bitter Greens and the Wild Girl! I can't wait for another one of your books to spend a weekend with :) I've been keeping my eyes open everywhere for The Beast's Garden and Beauty in Thorns, but I can't seem to find them in the US on any of the typical sites/bookstores. Are they available here somewhere or do you have any updates on when they might be?
