I opened a non-fiction book in a bookstore, and was surprised by the content. I shut it immediately, but then I thought, "What if..." I went home and immediately began writing. That's how the character of Andrew, the hero, ended up with a scar on his chest. His meeting with Beatrice followed easily because he had to deal with that scar.

Hi Liz, I'm currently reading The Wallflower Duchess, I have to say it's unlike anything I've read before. As I described it to a friend, the action has all happened, now there's nothing left to do but sort it out. Somehow, you make a conversation-driven plotline work. My question is, was your style inspired by any particular writers, or is this just wholly your voice coming through? Thanks! MJ
