I would like to actually empty my email inbox! In all seriousness, what I am most looking forward to is for a little time for thought and reflection so that I can plot my next course of action. It's been such a whirlwind--in a good way!--that I haven't really had time to do that lately.

After reading The Shadow of Night, I have a questions: why did Stephen Proctor never took a crash course in proper weaving techniques with Goody Alsop after he met Diana in 16th century London? Goody's advice could have helped him to defend his family against the likes of Peter Knox.

For years I have had story ideas and actual characters in my head. I've never been able to effectively translate them to a written story (even for my own purposes--not necessarily publication). Have tried to start writing even the smallest parts down--but get caught up in the "boil the ocean" of writing the whole thing--and stop before I really start. Any tips based on your experience with fiction you can share?
