When I'm on a roll, it comes very easily. Story ideas just start popping in my head and I can't get them down on paper fast enough. Other times, I'm completely dry. Those are the times when I like to "plant" a question in my mind and then go do something else. I let my mind relax and puzzle over the question or idea seed until it's ready to start pushing through the concrete!
