This question contains spoilers… (view spoiler)

V.W. Singer No, never. In fact the more I write, the more interested I get in real life sex. Writing erotica is never a chore to me, but a realisation of the visions and desires that reside somewhere deep in my mind.

I started writing erotica because I really wanted to see my ideas and fantasies laid out in print so that they could be shared with others of similar mind and tastes.

Perhaps the question to ask yourself, is whether you actually enjoy writing erotica, and whether the kind of erotica you write really is in tune with your own preferences and desires. Are you shaping your writing to suit what you perceive to be what the market wants, or are you putting out your own fantasies and desires in a modified form?
