The Very Devil Herself had a lot of heavy metal / Grunge rock music playing in the background as well as a lot of Dark classical music such as Camille Saint-Saëns - Danse Macabre , Sergey Prokofiev - Dance of the Knights , & Mussorgsky - Night On Bald Mountain

How did you find out about the contest that you won that first award for? I won a few awards - only for free verse poetry, and an Honorable Mention for a short story. The Award organizations were the International Society of Poetry and Iliad Press - their Summer Art Awards. I put a lot of energy in educating for a day job, thinking I would just write on the side. Life can be strange. I am 48 now.
