This is more a technical question: how do we delete comments read on Goodreads? (I get messages over and over again and have to skim through to find new ones.)
Sophia Rose
Hmmm, not sure if I can give you a definitive answer, Sheila, but I'll try to help. Not sure exactly which messages you are referring to and I think depending on that will depend on where we go to look to remove the comments.
If its a discussion thread: Usually, there are multiple notifications when new comments show up on a discussion or comment thread you were/are participating in. I don't think you can actually delete them. Usually, if you stop participating in the discussion and don't open the comment notification, it will go inactive within a day or two.
The only places I know for sure that you can delete comments is on your own personal page, if its your own comment on someone else's post, or if you moderate a group.
There might be a way under settings to turn off receiving a certain feed. Like I have mine set so I don't get as many emails and things in my feed on my home page.
Let me know exactly which spot you don't want to get messages and I'll try to give you a better answer.

I was wondering if I could join your group? I am a part of the Jane Austen group and during a discussion they mentioned your group so I thought I would take a look and I am excited that there is another group that loves Jane Austen and Austen like books. I thought if is it okay with you I would start with the group read in July. Gretchen Lover of all things Jane Austen

Do you know how to add an unpublished book onto GR? Sheila and I were exchanging our impressions of The Great Game by Ayden. We both want to do a GR review, but it's not listed in GR, even though 2 of her other unpublished books (Ebb and Flow and The Improvement of Her Mind) are. Looks like someone else, NOT the author, had gotten those onto GR.
