Rereading the Gospel of Matthew as part of my work on my dissertation, I was suddenly struck by Mt 27:52-53, which I had read before, of course, but this time round it tickled something in the back of my head. I set the idea aside until after my defense, until sometime in Spring 2015, when I hit upon the hook I needed - poor old Judas - to turn the idea into a story.
