Catherine Ryan Hyde So glad you enjoyed it! I wish I had a better answer for your question. Truth is, this is one of my many books (the vast majority of them, really) that just seemed to come from the ether with nothing taken from my own experience and no way to really track how these characters came into my head and started telling stories. (Except I'm always on the lookout for characters who want to barge in and tell stories--I'm sure that helps.)
