Why is Gwen being a doormat? This is a sincere question. Besides Gwen's overwhelming passiveness, and allowing her and Nathan's entire relationship hinge on how he feels at the moment, I really love the Broken series.

Some women just are more passive than others, it's frustrating and I'm so sorry for that. She's young too, she doesn't have any siblings to fight with, her mum is a bit of a neglectful so and so. I think it's harder to be bolder when you've always been left to yourself.
Gwen most likely suffers with social anxiety and the need to please. Hopefully she'll grow out of it.
