A.R. LaBaere?
A.R. LaBaere? asked Darin Kennedy:

Thus far, I see Lovecraftian influences in some of your work. How much has this author impacted you, and who is your most influential author? Why, and how has your work been shaped because of this?

Darin Kennedy Hi, A.R.!

I think a lot of us who write fantasy owe a lot to H.P. Lovecraft. I'm assuming you are referring to some of the beasties that Mira encounters along the Exhibition. Or, you read my story in the Dark Hall Press Cosmic Horror Anthology, where I was trying to channel Lovecraft as hard as I could, as that was what Dark Hall Press was looking for. I did try to make both those stories weird and wild, that's for sure. I hope that a bit of Gaiman and King shows through as well in my writing. We all channel what we've read in our lives and put it into our writing. As with all of us, we are what we eat! -DK
