Research! My current book is based on London history and legend, so I've accumulated a huge stack of books about the city, its history, and its lore. If I can't find inspiration in one of them, I take a walk -- sometimes around the specific sites I'm writing about, and sometimes around random interesting places. I rarely stay blocked for long.
