My question: the protagonist in each of your novels struggles with powerlessness in one or more heterosexual relationships, and each also has a more confident and/ or unconventional foil who has a lesbian relationship and seems to avoid these struggles. Do you think power imbalances are less acute in same-sex relationships than in heterosexual ones?
