If your dream is to be a writer, never give up. Get used to the word no. You will hear it a lot. Write every day to perfect your craft. Never send anything to an agent or publisher that isn't one hundred percent perfect. Learn how to edit. Develop a thick skin to critics. Do not make enemies of those who don't like your work. They may love your next one. When you finally hear the word yes, be ready.
