Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Michael Diack Working in a desert for five years helped me to write a fantasy book set in the desert. I find it really hard to write effectively unless I've experienced the elemental setting of what I'm writing about, in this case the heat, dust, hot wind and baron landscape of a desert. I appreciate how lucky I was to be able to live in a unique place like a desert, but my advice to anyone is to travel, explore and experience new things...and then write about it.
